Residents Against a Cell Tower at
Brookside Swim Club!

UPDATED May 13, 2010:  As previously communicated, Liberty Towers, LLC (“Liberty Towers”) had appealed to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas the Lower Makefield Township Zoning Hearing Board's February 16, 2010 decision that denied the applicant's request for a zoning variance to erect a cell tower on the Brookside Swim Club property.  We have recently learned that Liberty Towers has also filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court arguing that the Township’s ruling violated their rights under the Federal Communication Commission Act.  There are no set time frames as to when the actions will be decided.

Liberty Towers had requested a zoning variance from Lower Makefield Township to construct and operate a 150 foot wireless communication tower with communication antenna and related ground equipment in the R-3M (Residential) Zoning District on the Brookside Swim Club Property, Stony Hill Road.  Most of the residents in the adjacent neighborhoods of Ashley Estates, Heritage Oaks and Brock Creek opposed such a tower in their neighborhoods.

What can you do?

Please WRITE our Board of Supervisors thanking them for their past support and request they continue to support our effort and stand with us as we oppose Liberty Towers' attempt to appeal the Zoning Hearing Board's decision.
